Privacy Policy

This Policy explains how Favpost handles information. For usage conditions, please also review theTerms of Service.

1. Operator

Favpost (the Service) is operated by x.com/@ro1dev. Communications about this Policy, reports, infringement claims, and other inquiries should generally be sent by X direct message or by another method designated by the operator.

By using the Service, users are deemed to have agreed to this Policy.

2. Information Collected and Stored

The Service stores item names, tags, X post URLs, hierarchy structures, registration timestamps, X post information obtainable from public embeds, and other information submitted by users. These are public by default.

For security, abuse prevention, rate limiting, incident response, and operational protection, the Service may collect and use IP addresses, User-Agents, request timestamps, requested URLs, response information, error information, Cloudflare Turnstile verification results, and other technical logs.

To show viewing history, the Service stores in the user's browser localStorage item IDs, labels, URLs, counts, and access timestamps for items previously accessed. This information is generally stored on the user's device and normally is not sent to the server.

3. Purposes of Use

Collected information is used to provide the Service, enable posting, display, sharing, data storage, fallback display, security, abuse prevention, rate limiting, report handling, rights protection, usage analysis, quality improvement, incident investigation, and responses to legal or Terms violations.

The operator may use statistical or technical information to maintain, improve, monetize, internationalize, localize, provide the Service to English-speaking and other regions, and consider advertising or analytics features.

4. Third-Party Services

The Service may use Cloudflare Workers, Cloudflare Turnstile, Turso, X public embedding functions, and other third-party services required for hosting, database, security, delivery, and operation. Handling of information by those services is governed by their respective terms and policies.

The Service does not use the X API. However, in connection with X post embeds, external links, and public embed information, X and other third parties may collect cookies, identifiers, access information, and similar data. The operator is not responsible for third-party collection, displayed content, specification changes, or service suspension.

5. Google Analytics, Google AdSense, and Similar Tools

The Service may now or in the future introduce Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Google advertising features, and other analytics, advertising, measurement, or consent management tools.

If Google Analytics is used, the Service or related policies will disclose data collection and processing by Google Analytics, use of cookies or similar technologies, and possible advertising features.

If Google AdSense or other advertising is used, Google and other third-party ad providers may use cookies, advertising identifiers, web beacons, IP addresses, and browsing information for ad delivery, personalization, measurement, and fraud prevention. Where required by region or law, the Service may request consent or provide additional notices regarding cookies, local storage, personalized ads, and collection, sharing, or use of personal data.

6. Cookies, localStorage, and Similar Technologies

The Service may use cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, and other browser storage for security, Turnstile verification state, viewing history, PWA functionality, display settings, convenience, analytics, advertising, and operational protection.

Users may delete or restrict cookies and localStorage through browser settings. Some functions, viewing history, posting, security verification, display settings, and advertising or analytics functions may not work properly if restricted.

7. Third-Party Disclosure and Processors

The operator does not unnecessarily provide collected information to third parties except where required by law, necessary for rights protection, abuse prevention, or safety, based on user consent, outsourced to third-party services necessary for operation, or associated with transfer of a business, service, domain, or system.

Public posted information, public items, public URLs, public tags, and information displayed on public pages may be viewed, saved, quoted, shared, searched, and analyzed by third parties due to the nature of the Service.

8. Security and Retention

The operator endeavors to manage collected information securely within a reasonable scope. However, the Service is provided as is, and the operator does not guarantee that leaks, loss, alteration, unauthorized access, third-party service failures, or specification changes will not occur.

Information is retained for periods necessary for service provision, public display, security, operational protection, legal compliance, dispute handling, backups, and technical constraints. A user-facing deletion function may not be provided.

9. Requests for Disclosure, Deletion, and Similar Actions

Users who request disclosure, correction, deletion, suspension of use, or similar action regarding information about themselves should contact the operator by the designated method. The operator will respond within a reasonable scope considering identity verification, identification of target information, legal obligations, operational needs, third-party rights, and technical constraints.

The operator may be unable to delete or control public X posts, information on X, information saved or shared by third parties, or information on external services.

10. International Use and Localization

Although the Service is primarily designed for Japanese users, it may add displays, functions, advertising, consent management, policies, and support for English-speaking and other regions in the future.

Depending on a user's location, third-party services used, delivery infrastructure, and advertising or analytics services, information may be processed, stored, or viewed outside Japan.

11. Changes

The operator may change this Policy as necessary. Revised Policies take effect when posted on the Service or at another time designated by the operator.

If this Policy conflicts with the Terms of Service, this Policy controls for personal information and privacy matters, and the Terms of Service control for other matters.
